When people just like yourself are experienced and know that the first wave isn't the biggest, they wait it out, then when it does come, in there mind(and mine) I see that a stand up paddler only needs to catch 1ft waves, and so this big wave is for me, regardless of if i drop in on him or not im takn it. Most of the time Stand UP Paddlers are seen on either the smallest waves, or the biggest waves. BUT You are suring +30years and you may be a little tired or old or whatever excuse can come with being old lol.Īnd honestly, I think the hostility comes with you having the big dick in the lineup. Its true they may be really good or so, just decide to stand up paddle when its 3ft below, but there are more fun boards(in my opinon) like a fish thats an alternative to me, what looks like a very boring sport. Stand Up Paddler has a clear view of waves to come, and for me at least, every time i see them they don't respect the lineup. I've said before all you can do on a longboard is turn and walk forward, then walk backward and turn and walk forward again.lame. But i my opinion longboards and SUP look very boring, and retarded. As a short boarder, I will be the last one to stand up on the wave, giving me the disadvantage over someone who has to take one stroke and catches the wave. They wave hog all the time( for me at least). Longboarders also rarely respect the lineup.
You are hated because you have a shown advantage. I HATE in this order SUPs>Long boarders>Boogie Boarders>Knee Boarders>Body Surfers.
